The Life is good Festival raised $1,000,000 for the Life is good Playmakers!

Over 60,000 optimists watched the festival!  Artists performed to sold-out crowds at Prowse Farm and an additional 30,000 viewers tuned into the live webcast on Lifeisgood.com.

Artists including Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, Sara Bareilles and Michael Franti & Spearhead played optimistic sets of music

The Life is good community of optimists came together to fundraise for the Life is good Playmakers. Top fundraisers were treated to backstage perks like including private acoustic performances by artists including Katie Herzig and Sara Jarosz, and on-stage concert viewing of some of the top acts in music. 

Families enjoyed the top acts in kids’ entertainment on the “Good Kids” Stage, including The Fresh Beat Band, The KIDZ BOP Kids and Dan Zane & Friends.

Festival greening efforts resulted in 28,120 lbs of recycling, 4,080 lbs of compost and a total of 64% of all waste diverted from the landfill!

Festival 2011

Good Vibes Save Lives


The 2011 Life is good Festival, held over the weekend of September 24th & 25th, raised over $1m for the Life is good Playmakers.  Music was in the air all weekend, with Michael Franti, The Avett Brothers, and members of The Boston Pops jamming with Brandi Carlile and Levon Helm. Not to be outdone, kids rocked and rolled with the good tunes of Imagination Movers and the Laurie Berkner Band.

Festival fans were treated to two days of beautiful early-fall weather after a week of threatening forecasts calling for 100% chance of rain!

Musical highlights of the weekend included uplifting sets from Michael Franti and The Avett Brothers along with members of The Boston Pops joining Brandi Carlile and Levon Helm.

Art for All murals that were created at previous festivals were brought back to line the festival grounds with multiple instances of fan-created art.

Kids superstars Laurie Berkner Band, Imagination Movers, and Keller Williams helped show that the “Good Kids” Stage was more than just for the little ones.

Festival greening efforts resulted in16,620 lbs of recycling, 4,680 lbs of compost and a total of 47% of all waste diverted from the landfill!  That's some pretty good teamwork!

Life is good Festival Goes Big

Over the weekend of September 11th & 12th 2010, the LIG Festival landed in a new location, the beautiful Prowse Farm in Canton, Mass., just outside of Boston.  The good vibes flowed freely from the likes of Ziggy Marley, Grace Potter, Mavis Staples, and Jason Mraz. The new location brought the arrival of a new festival concept with 3 stages, including our Good Kids Stage, hosting the kid-approved Dan Zanes and Friends and the Laurie Berkner Band.

Event Highlights

The Life is good Festival landed in a new location, the beautiful Prowse Farm in Canton, Massachusetts – to rave reviews from fans!

Together we raised $725,000 for The Life is good Playmakers.

The new location also brought the arrival of a new festival concept, now with three stages including the “Good Kids” stage with some of the biggest kids’ acts in the world including Dan Zanes and Friends and Laurie Berkner Band.

Musical highlights of the weekend included an uplifting set from Ziggy Marley, Grace Potter, Mavis Staples and longtime friend of Life is good, Brett Dennen.

Jason Mraz that saw him honoring our volunteers, The Life is good Playmakers and sending folks home on the perfect note of optimism.  Material from Jason’s set eventually became the inspiration and nucleus for his “Life is good” EP available on iTunes.
