For the second year in a row, the historic City of St. Charles Missouri opened its arms wide for the Life is good Festival at beautiful Frontier Park on Saturday, October 17th. A crowd estimated at 10,000 enjoyed a day-long, all ages fun-for-all featuring a colorful fundraising walk, dozens of ball games and activities, and tasty food to fuel an active, sun-splashed autumn day outside.
Great music flowed from the Main Stage all day long. SteveSongs, Erin McCarley and Brett Dennen wowed their established fans and earned many new ones with inspired, energetic sets. Meanwhile, many pairs of hands (1,504 to be exact) contributed to a massive art project that grew throughout the day, with each person painting a distinctive tile in our thirty foot high Art for All Mural.
We're grateful for the generosity of our many friends in the City of St. Charles, including Mayor Patti York, our sponsors, and our amazing volunteers. All funds raised at the event will be donated by the Life is good Kids Foundation to Project Joy, which will channel every dollar into its work helping to heal and strengthen the most vulnerable preschoolers in the Greater St. Louis area. The day's fundraising in St. Charles brings our year-to-date total to a hefty sum of over $800,000 raised for kids in need!

Brett Dennen Rolling Stone named Brett one of its "Top Ten Artists to Watch" last year, and they called it right. He's fresh off a successful 54-city tour (happily backed by Life is good) and riding the success of his latest CD Hope for the Hopeless. He'll join us in Boston from a UK tour with The Fray and a performance at Bonnaroo. His rich voice, gifted songwriting and commitment to positive social change make him a not to be missed performer. Erin McCarley This Texas-born singer-songwriter has seen her star ascend rapidly via strong live performances, a quality debut album, glowing national reviews, and a growing fan base. It was her showcase performance at the South By Southwest Festival in 2008 that ignited an industry-wide frenzy and bidding war, leading to her Universal Republic debut album, Love, Save the Empty, released in January, 2009. Erin McCarley delivers maturely considered lyrics and deeply melodic music with a spirit-boosting lightness and echoes of the Beatles, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, and Alanis Morissette. Come here what all the critics and admiring fans have discovered about this unique and talented performer. http://www.erinmccarley.com
