Foundation Mission

The recently established Life is good Kids Foundation exists to improve the physical, emotional and social well being of children. The heart of the Foundation's mission is to support innovative and effective non-profit organizations that help strengthen joy and connection in children's lives. Special emphasis is placed on supporting underserved children and those facing unfair challenges.

The Life is good Kids Foundation receives its principal financial support from the public via the charitable community fundraising festivals conducted by Life is good, Inc. This year eighteen festivals will be held in thirteen different states nationwide. Fully 100% of monies received from these festivals is distributed to 501 (C) (3) non-profit organizations supporting children in need. The Foundation anticipates distributing over one million dollars in 2007.

The Life is good Kids Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests for assistance.

Spotlight on Project Joy

Project Joy, the recipient of major support from the Life is good Kids Foundation, illustrates the kind and quality of nonprofit organization funded.

Project Joy protects and champions play as the single most important activity in the life of a child. Its mission is to ensure that nothing, including poverty, trauma or any other societal injustice, stands in the way of healthy play for young children. By providing extensive training, resources, and ongoing support to early childhood developers who are working with impoverished preschool children, Project Joy is creating a peaceful army of early childcare teachers who have the skills, insight, and artistry to use play with their children in a way that promotes security, creativity, confidence, compassion, and healing.
