On Thursday May 10 at 2:00PM, The Life is good Flagship store on Newbury St in Boston is proud to welcome ALO to midday acoustic set of tunes.
The members of ALO first met us at the 2009 Life is good Festival in San Francisco. We love their sound so much…they play a little rock, a little funk, some improvisational sounds and a little jazz too. These guys are musical collaborators with Jack Johnson, Brett Dennen and other friends of Life is good, and they are funny, warm and friendly souls. That warmth shines through in their music and we know you'll love seeing them in this intimate environment. We are proud to welcome them into our home after a few years of friendship.
Why are they called ALO? It stands for Animal Liberation Orchestra…because their music gets you moving and sets your inner animal free. Dig it!
ALO's new album "Sounds Like This" is available on Brushfire Records now.
Join us on Thursday May 10 at 2:00 pm for a free set of tunes from ALO. 285 Newbury Street, Boston MA
"They can improvise and jam as good as anyone
I've ever seen. But they got these songs that really stick in your head as
well." - Jack Johnson
"Each member of ALO could easily be the
musical star of their own band, so it's nice to see accomplished musicians like
these stick together." - Associated Press
"Little bit of funk, a little bit of pop, a lot of energy and a big dollop of dance-worthy music - that's the recipe that's brought ALO a fan base far and wide." - San Diego Magazine
