A 2008 NBC Today Show feature story described Life is good's support for Project Joy, a grassroots nonprofit that uses the power of play to heal and strengthen children whose lives have been deeply impacted by trauma. Project Joy merged with the Life is good Kids Foundation early in 2010, becoming the Foundation's active service arm under the new name Life is good Playmakers.
