Playmaker University is an inspiring learning community for early childhood educators and care professionals that provides the additional knowledge, tools, and ongoing support needed to build healing, life-changing relationships with the most vulnerable children in your care. We offer a certificate program, continuing education, and a supportive alumni community.

Our Playmaker University certificate program is packed with new research based, trauma informed, and play focused content. It is designed to support NAEYC program standards, fulfill professional development requirements for Diverse Learning, and reduce burnout.

A Learning Journey Flexible to Your Needs

In our signature virtual certificate program, all coursework is self-paced following the 1-hour live kick-off session and can be done anytime, anywhere (pajamas welcome!). In order to graduate, you'll complete 10 courses (1-2 hours each) and a final assignment. Craving an in-person experience? We are kicking off Playmaker University with a special rejuvenating retreat on June 10-11th in Beverly, MA. Kick off your summer, Playmaker style!

Life-Long Learning at Playmaker University 

We believe in the power of community. As you progress through Playmaker University, you have access to coaching and peer-to-peer learning and support opportunities through community events and our online platform. Upon graduation, you get to join a powerful alumni community with a lifetime of benefits for you and the children you serve.

Who should enroll?

Playmaker University content is designed primarily for professionals who work with children under the age of 10 (early childhood through elementary school ages). Practitioners who work with children outside of this age range are welcome, too, as long as they accept the early childhood focus or training takes and choose to adapt the Playmaker framework to their own work.

Tuition & Scholarship Information

  • Fully Virtual Path: 20 hours. Take anywhere. Pajamas welcome. Tuition is $495. Scholarships available.  

  • Kick-off Retreat June 10-11th: Blend online coursework with a rejuvenating, 2-day retreat to kick off this new program! Tuition is $675 (and includes breakfast, lunch, full access to our learning platform AND walks on the beach). Scholarships are available thanks to a generous sponsor.

We are committed to making sure cost is never a barrier to attendance for early childhood professionals. The scholarship application is available as part of the Playmaker University application. If you are applying for a scholarship, please allow 15 business days for review.
