Guardians of Childhood

One of the greatest, and often overlooked, casualties of war is the loss of childhood.

To cope with life’s challenges, and grow in a healthy way, all children need safe spaces where they can freely engage, connect, and explore the world around them, and they need adults who know how to create those spaces. More than 5 million Ukrainian children have been impacted by the war in their country. These kids need play more urgently than ever. Guardians of Childhood is a psychosocial recovery initiative, presented in partnership with Ukrainian grassroots children’s charity Ridni, that teaches Playmaker practices to child and family services providers in Ukraine.
