Atticus Poetry has been writing ever since taking a trip to France and meeting an actor who told him how poetry changed his life. He credits optimism with all of the best things in his life. Atticus Poetry writes to process feelings and emotions, and to connect with others. His design for Life is Good is an empowering call to action—he hopes viewers are reminded of their inherent worthiness, and know that they are valuable just the way they are.
Alex Roman Jr. goes by the name DONKEEBOY, and he’s been an artist since childhood. He believes in the positive impact art can have, and he enjoys working with and serving his local community. DONKEEBOY gets inspiration from his surroundings, whether its music or cartoons or anything that leaves an impression on him. When his brother Eric passed away, DONKEEBOY realized that life was fleeting, and began to chase his dream of being an artist. His design for Life is Good represents unity between people from all walks of life.
Melissa Koby uses art as her therapy, and it helps her access optimism every day. An artist for her entire life, Melissa’s work deals with themes of social justice, and is a celebration of both people of color and tranquil landscapes. Her graphic design for Life is Good is a beautiful landscape, made with lots of peaceful, soothing neutral tones. Melissa finds beauty in the simplicity of nature, and aims to share this feeling of peace with others.
Shelby and Sandy are brothers from Los Angeles who have been painting their whole lives. They started working together professionally six years ago, and they aim to create art that inspires nostalgia and happiness. With their design for Life is Good, they created a colorful cloudscape in bright, vibrant colors that exudes optimism and simple joy.
Steffi Tsai uses art to help her spin negative feelings of self-doubt and worry into something positive. She’s been creating art since she was young, and she loves experimenting with all kinds of styles, colors, and mediums. For Life is Good, Steffi’s design takes an everyday moment and turns it into an exciting and whimsical creation. When others view her art, Steffi hopes they have the feeling of taking a deep breath.
