Summer Sangria, Comin’ Right Up!

By: Life is Good

Even though summer’s a little different this year, there are some things that will always stay the same— like that incredibly refreshing first sip of a summer cocktail. And to make sure the glass stays half-full this season, Life is Good Social Media Director, Michelle B., has given us her favorite sangria recipe to make at home. So sit back, relax, and sip a little. Cheers!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • ¼ honeydew melon, cubed
  • 4 kiwi fruits, 3 cubed and 1 sliced
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • ¼ simple syrup, or 1 tbsp of sugar or agave (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 bottle Life is Good Today is the Day Chardonnay
  • 4-6 ounces elderflower liquor
  • Pitcher
  • Muddler (optional)
  • Spoon

WATCH THE TUTORIAL:

STEPS:

    1. Pre-cut fruit and pull mint leaves.

    2. Muddle the melon, kiwi, limes and mint in your pitcher.

    3. Add lime juice and elderflower liquor, and sweetener, then stir.

    4. Add wine and stir.

    5. Serve in glasses with ice, find a friend or two, and enjoy!

For a celebratory twist, top off your glasses with a short pour of your favorite champagne. Cheers!
