In one of our latest tee collections, we feature a Golden Retriever wearing a tie dye bucket hat. In another, a chicken teaches arithmetic accompanied with the term ‘mathemachicken.’ Oh, and the office favorite: Pool Party Bigfoot.
All this to say: We know silly.
So when prominent news publications began labeling this period in time The Silly Era, hugs were exchanged. The culture’s embrace of vibrant, expressive styles is said to be a pendulum swing from pandemic isolation, and evidence of a desire for people to celebrate what they love through what they wear.
Whether it be frog clogs or Big Red Boots or tee shirts that combine The Wizard of Oz with 80s rock ballads, the resurgence of personality-driven clothing is music to our ears—as the company that creates tees to spark conversations and help each other find common ground. And yes, sometimes those conversations center around the importance of puns to a thriving society or how iconic movies would be different if the main character was a pug.
While the emergence of fashion’s Silly Era is encouraging, there is still work to be done. The full depth of our silliness is still untapped, and the limit to how many smiles we can generate does not exist.
We hope you join us on this optimistic quest, we’ll be saving a seat for you. Don’t forget to pack your Literate Cat shirt.
Your stories of optimism have shaped and steered Life is Good from day one. THANK YOU and write on!
